CHAPTER INFORMATION

Reminder about Annual Reports

By now, all Chapter Chairs should have received the annual report form from me, for reporting AP-S activity for 2002. If you have not received it, please notify me as soon as possible so I can email it to you. The suggested deadline for returning the form to me (by email) is Feb. 15, 2003. Please remember that completion of this form is a pre-requisite for any AP-S financial support requests from your chapter to be processed, and that the earlier your request for financial support is processed, the more likely your chapter is to receive it (once the budget limit for 2003 is reached, so further requests can be processed).

Invitation to be a Judge

The judging process for the 2003 Best Chapter Award will being this spring. I am still looking for volunteers to make up the judging panel. Being a judge involves looking over the annual reports (sent to you by email) and picking your top three chapters. If you would be willing to serve as a judge, please let me know. Thank you!

Deadline for Annual Support Requests

In order to make the processing of financial support requests by AP-S as convenient as possible for the IEEE, I would like to adhere to the following rule for the future (starting in 2003). The deadline for me to receive requests for any kind of AP-S chapter financial support in a given year, will be Nov. 1 of that year. Hopefully, most of the chapters will make their requests much earlier than that, but this will be the deadline. Please keep in mind, however, that there is no guarantee that AP-S funds for chapter support will last until Nov. 1. As always, requests are processed on a first-come first-serve basis, while the funds permit.
