On June 30th, 2025, the Department of Industrial, Electronic and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Roma TRE hosted a technical seminar by Prof. Somak Bhattacharyya (IIT BHU, India), IEEE Senior Member, Life Fellow of The Optical Society of India and Fellow of IETE and Antenna Test and Measurement Society (ATMS), India. The talk, titled “Recent Advancements of Metasurfaces towards High Frequency Applications”, focused on the latest developments in the design of metasurfaces for applications such as absorbers, polarizers, filters, and phase shifters, including recent progress involving graphene-based tunable structures.

The event was well attended by faculty members, researchers, and students interested in metamaterials and their emerging applications in high-frequency regimes.
