The TC-2 (Arrays) Workshop, held as part of the IEEE MTT-S International Wireless Symposium (IWS), took place on May 19, 2025, at the Xi’an Qujiang International Convention and Exhibition Center. Co-chaired by Prof. Yong Mei Pan (Chair of TC-2) and Prof. Zhi Hao Jiang (Member, TC-2), this workshop brought together six invited speakers from academia, research institutes, and industry to present and discuss emerging trends in Millimeter-Wave Antennas and Arrays. The event was open to all participants of China Microwave Week.
At the beginning of the workshop, Prof. Yong Mei Pan provided an overview of the establishment background, core responsibilities, and operational framework of the IEEE AP-S Technical Committees, with a focus on the specific mission and activities of TC-2. She expressed sincere gratitude to all the speakers for their strong support and warmly invited more researchers and engineers to join TC-2, contributing actively to the advancement of antenna array technologies.
Following her introduction, six invited speakers delivered technical presentations, sharing insights on a range of cutting-edge topics including emerging additive manufacturing techniques, broadband wide-angle scanning technologies, microsystem technologies, terminal antenna applications, and calibration techniques for various millimeter-wave antennas and arrays.
This workshop featured in-depth discussions and extensive exchanges between the speakers and the audience, fostering interdisciplinary interaction and promoting further collaboration across academia, industry, and research institutions.
